I snapped this fuzzy photo with my iPhone at SXSW Interactive, and the intensity of the crowd isn’t some weird aberration — the conference, associated events and parties are often that mobbed. Especially the parties.

I’ve had a great time at the show and have attended maybe 5 percent of the panels and other offerings that I might have enjoyed — which, at this jam-packed festival, is actually not a bad ratio. But the single thing I’m most excited about doing here happens at 12:30pm today. I’m moderating a panel, “Lessons from Disruptors: Game-Changing Startups,” with Travis Bogard of Jawbone, Ren Ng of Lytro and Matt Rogers of Nest. If you’re here in Austin for the show, come join us — we’ll be in Salon C at the Hilton, across from the convention center.

I return home to the Bay Area tonight. Less SXSW-centric blogging returns tomorrow…
