The yearly Computex trade show in Taipei usually provides a pretty good look at computing’s near future. And with Windows 8 slated for release in the fall, this year’s Computex ratcheted things up a notch as manufacturers previewed hardware built to take advantage of Windows 8’s touch-friendly interface while at the same time functioning along the lines of how we’ve grown accustomed to using computers.
The result is a remarkable glimpse at the next wave of computing – tablets, laptops, all-in-ones and the ever-blurring lines between them – plus a few unique, non-Windows-8 gadgets thrown in for good measure.
