You know those scenes in the Harry Potter movies where Daniel Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes point sticks at each other, then grunt and grimace as CGI snakes of light slither and sizzle between them? Magic Duel for Skyrim adds that, the idea being that weaponized magic fired from a distance shouldn’t simply be tantamount to lobbing enchanted arrows at an enemy, but rather a volatile, messy, drawn out tug-of-war (well, if both combatants are destruction skill-wielding magic users, anyway). How does it work? After choosing the percent chance of a duel occurring, you have to cast a fire, ice or lighting spell at about the same time an enemy does, at which point the duel begins. To win (or increase your combo bonuses) you have to jam on the left and right attack keys while staying in sync with a bonus gauge.
