I actually use this thing as my main iPad keyboard currently. At $60, it was somewhat of a gamble but it’s actually turned out pretty well. The iPad snaps into the frame to then resemble a tiny MacBook, but everything’s made out of plastic and the keys are a little on the spongy side. That’s what you get for $60, though. The connection between the keyboard and the tablet is handled wirelessly via Bluetooth, and the apparatus has its own battery and USB port that can be used to connect the iPad via its cable for recharging.
It’s listed as an iPad 2 keyboard, but I’ve been using it with the new iPad without any problems. Its 4,000 mAh internal battery isn’t huge by any means – I can get about 1/3 charge out of it since the new iPad’s 11,666 mAh battery is pretty enormous. You can buy the keyboard directly from Vostrostone using the link below; I bought mine from Amazon.
