What it is: This 1-by-1 button takes you right into the Google app and begins a voice search.
Why it’s a good widget: Most new Android phones no longer have a dedicated search button, and a lot of them don’t include a Google search bar on the home screen, either. This button makes it easy to start a voice search and takes up less space than Google’s own search widget. (Note: technically this is an app, not a widget. You’ll find it listed as “VS Shortcut” in your app drawer.)
