Diablo III was a four-star game that gravitated toward three-stars (for me, anyway) as time rolled on and the game’s appeal as a hack-and-slash throwback didn’t. But to play it, you needed a PC: Blizzard’s remedying that by delivering its first major console release since its StarCraft port for the Nintendo 64 back in 1998. If you haven’t scratched your action-RPG itch with something like Torchlight, Diablo III offers a respectable achievement hunt once you’ve dispensed with the forgettable story.
