Well, this is mesmerizing. If you’ve ever wondered how often Wikipedia gets edited, wonder no more.
Created by Stephen LaPorte and Mahmoud Hashemi over at Hatnote, Listen to Wikipedia maps a visual circle each time an edit to a Wikipedia entry is made, accompanied by either a string or a bell sound.
The circles are different colors based on whether an edit is made by an anonymous user (green), a bot (purple) or a registered user (white); a bell sound signifies an addition to a Wikipedia entry, while a string sound signifies a subtraction.
