You still can’t stuff 1,000 words into a tweet, but you can now send pictures back and forth via direct message when using Twitter’s iOS and Android apps.
As posted on the Twitter Blog today:
For the first time, you can share and view photos via direct message (DM) on your mobile phone. We’ve also introduced a new tab in the navigation bar that make it easy to access DMs –– they’re just one tap away from wherever you are on Twitter. You can also view photos in DMs on twitter.com.
Twitter also added the ability to swipe between your Home timeline, the Discover timeline and the Activity timeline, along with some refined notification features.
