The first PowerBook series computers were released in October 1991. The PowerBook 150, seen here, was the last of the 100 series that featured the original design, with a roomy wrist-rest and built-in trackball. Unlike the Mac Portable, the PowerBooks were a hit -- and their "What's on Your PowerBook?" ad campaign was a phenomenon in itself.
