Apple’s recent SSL bug has now been patched for OS X. A similar patch for iOS devices went live last week.

If you own a newer Mac and you haven’t already been prompted to install the patch, you should update your system now (click the Apple logo in the upper left hand corner, then Software Update…) to make sure everything’s locked down.

You can visit this “goto fail;” test site from your Safari browser beforehand to see if your system is vulnerable, but definitely go there after you’ve applied all the updates to make sure the patch took.

And if you’re using an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, go into Settings > General > Software Update and update your device as well (you may have already been prompted to do so late last week). Then go to the goto fail; test site from the Safari browser on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to make sure everything’s patched up.
