Snapchat gained fame for allowing users to send silly (sometimes scandalous) photos to their friends that disappear after 10 seconds, but the startup company’s next venture is less ephemeral.
Snapchat Stories, unveiled Thursday, allows users to gather “snaps” sent from the last day to create a narrative that will live for 24 hours. That means that the “story” will constantly change throughout the day.
The Verge reports that the new feature is Snapchat’s answer to users’ most common demand — the ability to snap all of their friends at once — without resorting to a “Send All” button.
