Some are estimating that more than 100 different tablet models will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. Does the market have room for so many tablets? Probably not.
Kindle for Windows Phone 7 goes live

Amazon continues on its quest to get the Kindle e-reading app on every portable device known to mankind. Windows Phone 7 owners can get in on the fun, as Microsoft’s latest mobile platform now supports Kindle books.
Lenovo’s IdeaPad UI Hybrid coming soon for $1,300

Tablet or notebook, tablet or notebook? Why not both? Lenovo showed off its IdeaPad U1 hybrid a year ago and decided to put the project on hold in favor of using Android for the tablet portion instead of its own custom OS. When docked into the keyboard stand, the U1 runs Windows 7 atop an Intel processor. When in tablet mode, it runs Android on a mobile CPU.
Toshiba plans big push on glasses-free 3D TV

Toshiba’s betting that you’d buy a 3D TV if you didn’t have to wear those goofy glasses. You would, however, have to have a pretty straight-on view of the TV set. Glasses-free 3D doesn’t work too well with angles yet.
CES 2011: Asustek introduces 4 new tablet PCs

Asus, the company that started the netbook craze, is now getting into the tablet game full force with four new tablets ranging in size between seven and 10 inches. One features a slide-out keyboard, one features a keyboard dock, and one features a powerful Intel Core i5 processor.
