Casting Call: Imagining A Live-Action Mass Effect Movie

Now that Mass Effect 2 is a critical (a stellar 96 score on Metacritic) and commercial (over 2 million copies sold worldwide in its first week) blockbuster, buzz about a big-budget movie version is sure to heat up. Even though there’s a “tremendous amount of interest” in Hollywood for a live-action Mass Effect, don’t expect to see it at your local megaplex anytime soon. In the meantime, let’s take a seat on the casting couch and imagine who has the right stuff to star as some of ME’s key characters.

    That’s a pretty good list. NPH as Mordin is both obvious and ingenious. Though I’d have Jai Michael White as Jacob, and Michael Chiklis as Wrex. I’m not sure about Ali Larter as Liara, though I can’t think of a replacement.

    @dreinn: I forgot to mention my casting call borrows from the NY Yankees’ playbook, i.e. money is no object. @figerrific: good choice for Jacob. MJW was on my short list too.
