Sony Is Releasing A PS2 Bundle. No That’s Not A Typo.

Sony

Now you can finally get that PS2 you forgot you wanted.

Never mind that the standard is PS3 these days: You can now own that PS2 that you gave away years ago. PlayStation announced their new PS2 bundle, which will include the PS2 console and Toy Story 3: The Video Game. Yes, that is the same game that was released back in June of this year. Yes, that is the same console that was released ten years ago. The whole shebang will be released on October 31 for a suggested MSRP of $99. (Or you can go on Craigslist and get a previously loved one for much cheaper.)

Something tells me they just found a huge storeroom full of PS2s and a pile of Toy Story 3 games.

they should just include a ps2 for free with purchase of new non-backwards compatible ps3 if they have so many spares sitting around.

Haha! I can’t believe they could release that and actually be serious about it. I would put maybe a $20 price tag on it?

They should add back-wards compatibility for the PS3 with an emulator, but the PS2 is still popular around the world as the cheapest system with thousands of games in its library.

The Craiglist idea is bad because who would pay $20 for a non working doorstop, though if you are lucky it should work fine.
