Sure as the sun rises every day, you can bet that a new Guitar Hero game will be hitting shelves on an annual basis. But, Activision’s looking to shake things up with the newly-announced Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. The 2010 version of the rhythm game introduces a story mode that will take bands from legendary rock club CBGB’s to an epic showdown between the Demi-God and The Beast. The Demi-God character will apparently serve as an in-game guide, guiding players through the plot-based Quest Mode. More importantly, legendary KISS bassist will be giving voice to the Demi-God. Here’s the Demon from the press relase:
“The world is a boring place. Come with me, and enter a world populated of Demi-Gods and Beasts. Transform from an everyday person and become the savior of rock and roll,” said Gene Simmons of KISS. “It was an honor and privilege to narrate Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, even more so, to voice the Demi God. From the God of Thunder to the Demi-God, how cool is that…”
Warriors of Rock will also offer a new, redesigned guitar controller and new modes designed to take advantage of pre-existing GH songs that users may already have downloaded. And, of course, tons of new tunes will be playable, too. Here are the first announced tracks:
· AFI – “Dancing Through Sunday”
