The iPad Says Howdy To Farmville Farmers

First of all, I’d like to apologize to everyone who has to see it on their Facebook newsfeed that I need someone to fertilize my crops or that a lost sheep has wandered on my farm and needs an owner. Sorry that I keep asking for wooden boards to complete my nursery barn.

And, I’m especially sorry that it’s going to get so much worse.

Like many, I first grumbled about the addition of apps to Facebook, but after becoming one of the 6 million players of Farmville worldwide, I can’t remember a time before them. Then ever since Farmville for iPhone launched, I’ve been able to harvest those raspberry crops every two hours (and share those bushels with you guys of course). Now that there’s Farmville for iPad, I’ll stay connected even more than ever – and I won’t even have to squint to see whether or not my chicken needs her eggs collected.

“The iPad is a natural device for gaming. We are excited to bring more Zynga titles to the platform in the future,” a company spokesperson said to The Digital Home.

Rumors suggest that the other games might be making their foray into the iPad app world soon – so you can start to expect those YoVille, Mafia Wars and Treasure Island requests more often as well.
