Sony Dash Personal Internet Viewer: $80 at Woot.com (today only)

CE01153A_Specs09

Originally released about a year ago for $200, the Chumby-like Sony Dash Personal Internet Viewer can now be had for a mere $80 at Woot.com—the deal is good today only.

The Dash sports a 7-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi connection, and 1,000+ free apps that allow you to “access your favorite parts of the internet at a glance.” It’s kind of like a tablet that sits on your nightstand or desk and always has to be plugged into a power outlet.

You can stream video from the likes of Netflix and YouTube, there are the requisite Facebook and Twitter apps, and the Dash functions as a handsome digital photo frame and alarm clock, too.

Refurbished 30-gigabyte iPod: $100 at Cowboom.com (today only)

DT_604392_1Remember the iPod? Like, the regular, scroll-wheel, oh-so-you-don’t-have-an-iPhone-or-iPod-touch iPod? The iPod Classic, if you will.

Best Buy’s deal-a-day site Cowboom.com is selling the fifth-generation, refurbished, 30-gigabyte iPod Classic for $100.

But surely you can get some sort of new iPod with around 30-gigabytes of storage for $100, right? Right?! Not right.

You can add a one-year warranty to your new, old iPod for $9 or a two-year warranty for $18. I’d opt for at least one of those, as you’re dealing with a refurbished product that uses a mechanical hard drive to store files.

Refurbished Pandigital Novel color e-book reader: $100 at 1saleaday.com (today only)

pandigital-2

Barnes & Noble bookstore. Android. Color touchscreen. Those are the key selling points for the 7-inch Pandigital Novel. You can get your hands on a refurbished model with a 90-day warranty today for $100.

I’ve used the Novel fairly extensively in the past and can vouch for its appeal as a color e-book reader (especially at $100). The web browser is decent, too. And if you’re into hacking, there are plenty of places where you can find information about how to turn the Novel into a full-fledged Android tablet.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 9: $40 at Buy.com

217087546Running for upwards of $100 at various places, Buy.com is selling Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 for $40 after a $20 mail-in rebate.

If you’re looking for an easy-to-use photo editor but you don’t need all the fancy features found in the professional versions of Photoshop, then $40 is a fair price any which way you slice it.

You have to send away for the rebate, of course, but look how happy that kid on the box is. Look at him! Would you deny your own loved ones a similar chance at happiness?
