It’s Monday! Time for some handpicked gadget deals.
Acer Iconia Android tablet: $398 at Amazon
The Acer Iconia made news for being the first Android 3.0 tablet to break the $500 price barrier. Originally selling for $450, it’s now been priced at around $400 at several retailers.
The tablet has a 10.1-inch touchscreen, dual-core Tegra 2 processor, front- and rear-facing cameras, 16GB of storage, it measures a half inch thick and weighs in at around 1.7 pounds.
Dynex 19-inch HDTV: $85 at CowBoom (today only)
Best Buy’s daily deals site, CowBoom, is offering a 19-inch Dynex TV for just $85. The tradeoff is that the set’s resolution is just 720p, not 1080p, and there’s only one HDMI input. If that’s not a big deal to you, then this would make a decent TV for the den, bedroom or rumpus room.
If you don’t have a rumpus room, you simply MUST build one or convert one of your existing rooms into one. You won’t regret it.
This deal is good today only.
Seagate 500GB portable hard drive: $49 at Walmart
If you’re looking for more storage than you’d be able to get with a thumb drive or memory card but you don’t want to spend a lot, this $49 Seagate drive is a good deal. You get half a terabyte of storage, USB 3.0 compatibility, and the drive is powered by a single USB cable.
That storage is enough for 60 HD movies, 222 regular movies, 150,000 four-minute songs, or 250,000 four-megapixel photos, according to Seagate.
Refurbished Sony Dash 7-inch internet viewer: $60 at Sony
Originally released about a year ago for $200, the Chumby-like Sony Dash Personal Internet Viewer can now be had for a mere $60 directly from the company—the deal is for a refurbished unit with a 90-day Sony warranty. Use coupon code OUTLETDASH60AFF to get the deal.
The Dash sports a 7-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi connection, and 1,000+ free apps that allow you to “access your favorite parts of the internet at a glance.” It’s kind of like a tablet that sits on your nightstand or desk and always has to be plugged into a power outlet.
You can stream video from the likes of Netflix and YouTube, there are the requisite Facebook and Twitter apps, and the Dash functions as a handsome digital photo frame and alarm clock, too.
Toshiba 1080p pocket camcorder: $60 at 1SaleADay (today only)
The Toshiba Camileo S20 would make for a nice, compact high-definition camcorder. It runs for around $100 elsewhere but 1SaleADay.com has it for $60, today only. The camera has a 3-inch swiveling touchscreen, 1080p video resolution, one-touch YouTube upload, HDMI output to your TV, and support for memory cards up to 32GB.
