It’s Tuesday! Time for some handpicked gadget deals.
Apple iPhone 4S: $188 at Walmart
If you’re looking for even the most minute of deals on a new iPhone, Walmart is selling the 4S for $188—that’s a whopping $11 less than it costs everywhere else! Bragging rights? You bet.
The catch: You’ll have to go to an actual store. The other catch: The deal’s only for the Verizon and AT&T versions—no Sprint.
Refurbished 64GB iPad: $399 at Apple
If an iPad’s more your speed and you’re looking for as much storage space as possible, Apple’s now selling refurbished first-generation iPads with 64 gigabytes of storage for just $399. You can also get the 3G-enabled versions with 32 gigabytes of storage for the same price. Though the iPads sold directly from Apple are refurbished, they all carry a full one-year warranty.
No-contract, used Verizon Motorola Droid: $60 at CowBoom
You dropped your phone in the toilet. It’s cool—these things happen. Since you’re not due for an upgrade for quite a while, you’ll need to replace it as cheaply as possible. CowBoom is selling pre-owned Motorola Droids that work on Verizon’s network for just $60. That’s far, far less than you’d be able to spend on a new, non-subsidized smartphone.
Used 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab with 3G: $209 at CowBoom
The first big-name, non-Apple tablet was too expensive when it first came out. But now you can get the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab with a 3G Verizon connection for $209. Sure, it’s used and, sure, the $200 Amazon Kindle Fire is just around the corner, but this one’s got the built-in, go-anywhere 3G connection. And a story, since it’s used.
It’s probably seen some crazy things. Some crazy, crazy things.
Five pounds of misprinted ballpoint pens: $15 at DealGenius
Today, we break from tradition a bit. This last deal isn’t a gadget deal in any sense. But you have to appreciate that a) there are enough misprinted pens in the world to find their way onto deals sites and b) this particular deal is being sold by weight. “Hey guys, I just ordered five pounds of pens. We should be set for pens for at least a little while.” You’ll be the office hero.
