Sony’s finally ditching the loopy design of its previous tablets and is focusing on slenderness instead. The result is an Android tablet with a 10.1-inch display, measuring just 6.9 mm thick–supposedly the slimmest 10-inch tablet around–and weighing a mere 1.09 pounds. It’s also waterproof and has a built-in infrared port for controlling your home entertainment system. Other specs include a quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The Xperia Tablet Z is coming this spring for $499 with 16 GB of storage, or $599 with 32 GB.
