GroveAs Apple’s obsession with shipping lighter products has progressed through the years, one thing has all but completely disappeared: the iPhone dock. While the original iPhone was sold with a charging station, Apple didn’t even create one for iPhone 5 until it released the iPhone 5s. But most docks, either Apple’s or from third parties, have a tragic flaw: they’re so lightweight that when users pick up their phones, the stands often come with them. A three-pound hunk of steel capped with some gorgeously hewn bamboo, the Grove Dock for iPhone is an excellent remedy. Coming in black, white, or silver, this $99 showpiece cuts cord clutter and provides a perfect landing pad for iPhones, regardless of the case they’re wearing (so long as the dock connector is exposed). One downside is that Grove’s heavyweight phone home requires users to bring their own cable. But that’s an understandable prerequisite. And since it's compatible from iPhone 4 through iPhone 5s (and counting), this stand has staying power.
