After refusing a multibillion dollar buyout from Facebook last month, popular image-messaging platform Snapchat has acquired one of the company’s top executives.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Emily White, who was the former acting director of business operations for Facebook’s Instagram, will now serve as Snapchat’s chief operating officer.
Snapchat has earned no revenue to date, and monetization strategies will likely form a significant part of White’s brief.
