Once considered an outlet for the socially inept, online dating has shed misplaced taboos and proven to be a useful tool, whether you’re single and looking for love, or attached and in the market for, ahem, an illicit dalliance.
According to a recent survey by the Pew Research Center, “11% of American adults — and 38% of those who are currently ‘single and looking’ for a partner — have used online dating sites or mobile dating apps.”
While online dating titans eHarmony and OkCupid might appeal to the masses, those with individual needs can take advantage of niche sites. After a nut-free romance or pining for somebody who shares your My Little Pony passion? Hey, you’re in luck.
