During a Samsung press event Monday at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show 2014 in Las Vegas, action-movie producer Michael Bay (Transformers, Friday the 13th) was supposed to comment on the benefits of the company’s new curved HDTVs, but ended up walking off the stage after his teleprompter malfunctioned. “The type is all off … sorry,” he said, shortly before walking offstage. Watch his mini-meltdown above.
Later on Monday, Bay apologized for the incident in a post on his website. “Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES,” Bay wrote before praising Samsung’s new curved HD television. “I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost,” Bay continued. ” Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing.”
