The modular phone-tablet combo still hasn’t caught on, but don’t tell that to Asus. The Android-based PadFone Infinity is the company’s third try at the concept, and this time the smartphone has gotten even bigger with a 5-inch 1080p display. When it’s tablet time, the phone slides into the larger slate, and uses its quad-core processor to power the 10.1-inch 1080p display. Other specs include 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It’s priced at about $1,300 for the combo, says All Things Digital, but like its predecessors, we’re guessing it’ll never show up on U.S. carriers.
