Why It’s Noteworthy: The Padfone slides into an optional tablet accessory to become an Android tablet with a 10.1-inch display. Then, the tablet can connect to a keyboard dock to become a small Android laptop. It’s modularity to the extreme.

HTC One X

Tech Specs: 4.7-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor (or quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 outside the U.S.), 16 GB of storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, Android 4.0.
Why It’s Noteworthy: It’ll be HTC’s first quad-core phone, and the first phone to combine Android Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC’s Sense interface. (Finally, HTC’s home screen gets a customizable dock for your favorite apps at the bottom of the screen.) After a rough quarter, this is HTC’s biggest attempt to get back in the game.
