Hulu Plus is continuing its slow journey towards being available everywhere, with the announcement that the paid streaming television on demand service is now available on Vizio Internet-connected HDTVs, and will soon be available on Vizio Blu-Ray players and select Android phones. Hulu CEO Jason Kilar announced the partnerships at CES yesterday, giving audiences a sneak peek at the Android app while remaining mum on the issue of a release date (Hulu promises more information “as soon as we have an official launch date and complete list of Hulu Plus-enabled Android phones”; all that’s known currently is that phones must be running Android OS 2.2, and the subscription cost is expected to be $7.99 a month).
Hulu Plus is currently already available for iOS mobile devices, as well as Sony PS3s, Bravia TVs and Blu-Ray players, and TiVo Premiere and Roku boxes. Microsoft has also announced plans to add the service to Xbox Live and Kinect this Spring.
