In terms of tech specs, ViewSonic’s ViewPad e70 is about as unsophisticated as it gets, with a 7-in. 800-by-480 display, a 1 GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM and a VGA front-facing camera. But at $169, it could be a respectable Android Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, with Amazon’s Appstore and services on board (no Google services are preloaded). Look for it at the end of March.
