Internet memes come and go, fluttering in and out of our collective consciousness faster than you can say Tebowing. But artist Lauren Kaelin decided to immortalize some of her favorite web phenomena by turning them into paintings and sharing them on Tumblr. She named the project Benjameme, after the philosopher Walter Benjamin, and calls it “an excuse to paint the Internet.” From portraits of Grumpy Cat and Boo the Pomeranian to artistic renderings of the sneezing baby panda and the Prancercise lady, all of Kaelin’s works are up for sale as prints.
