Once upon a time, long before LocationGate ruled the Interwebz, Apple came under fire for the newly released iPhone 4, whose exterior antenna made it difficult to obtain signal if you held it wrong (“wrong” according to Steve Jobs, anyway). But what Jobs himself seemed to miss was that most normal people, well, hold their phones that way.
In decidedly non-Apple fashion, the company called a press conference to rectify the “nonexistent” problem (again, according to Steve Jobs). To hammer home the point that absolutely zip, nada, nothing was wrong, Apple saw fit to hand out free phone bumpers anyway.
