As I’ve written about before, ASIMO began in 1986 as a pair of robotic legs developed by Honda. Today, it can do everything from autonomously avoiding people while walking down a hallway to pouring you a glass of orange juice. The latest version weighs in at a slim 106 lbs and can reach speeds of up to 5.6 mph.
Pros: Excellent balance for walking across rubble, dexterous hands for manipulating valves.
Cons: Too short to reach steering wheel.
