There’s nothing the least bit foolish about The Inky Fool. But if the English language wasn’t so eccentric, Mark Forsyth’s blog wouldn’t be nearly so enjoyable. Forsyth writes about linguistic questions you never quite asked yourself concerning words such as qualm and shebang, answering them in a manner which is both playful and concise. And no matter how many times you’ve sung and/or heard “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” his post about its five gold rings makes a point you’ll find both shocking and shockingly obvious.
