Finding clothes that don’t rip or burst into flames can’t be an easy task for today’s fashionable superhero. One guy who makes it work is the Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic, the man who discovered that he could create clothing out of fictional “unstable molecules.” Think of them as the Lycra of superhero fashion. When Richards stretches like a giant string of Silly Putty or the Invisible Woman needs to disappear, the material changes to mimic their powers. Without Richards, the Marvel universe would be filled with a lot of naked superheroes.
