In 1999, Derek Earl Baron set off on a three-month trip to Southeast Asia. More than 4,600 days later, he’s still on it and has now explored 83 countries around the world. (At the moment, he’s in Houston — but only to pick up a visa that will let him enter India.) The self-dubbed permanent nomad blogs his adventures in words, photos and videos. He’s also about to start leading tours that let temporary nomads travel along with him. But even for us vicarious nomads who just follow along from the comfort of our own armchairs, he’s an inspiring, charismatic tour guide.
