HP is cheerily joining the tablet-laptop hybrid bandwagon with the Envy X2, which earns some extra style points due to its aluminum finish. It sports an 11.6-inch, 1366-by-768 display, an Intel Atom processor, a 64 GB solid state drive, a microSD card slot, an 8-megapixel rear camera and an “HD” camera up front. The keyboard and trackpad dock has two USB ports, a full-sized SD card slot and HDMI output. Other bells and whistles include Beats Audio and support for near-field communications. It’ll be out in time for the holidays, but no pricing yet.
