The founders of Honeyfund were an engaged couple with a dream they couldn’t afford: a honeymoon in Fiji. So they raised the necessary $8,000 by setting up a Web page that let friends and family chip in. The experience inspired them to create this site, which lets anyone set up a honeymoon registry that breaks down the big trip into individual bits and pieces such as airfare, hotel stay, meals and adventures like wine tastings and bicycle tours. The site doesn’t take a cut of the funds raised; honeymooners can have their benefactors send money directly, or opt to let them pay via PayPal, which charges a processing fee.
