If the Internet has ever served a purpose, it’s been as a repository for odd, wonderful, interesting stuff. The online component to Mental Floss’s excellent magazine tackles important issues such as the movies Roger Ebert hated, historic impotence cures, and little-known facts about Nutella. If someone were to go online for the first time ever, you could plop them down in front of Mental Floss’s site, check back at the end of the day and say, “Yeah, so that’s basically the Internet.”
