Every season, 32 teams hope to make it to the Super Bowl. In that spirit, here are 32 tech companies from Super Bowl ads over the years. Just like NFL teams, some of these companies have flourished; others haven’t fared nearly as well.
Xerox’s 1976 Super Bowl ad featured a monk tasked with making 500 copies of a multi-page, handwritten document. He has access to a secret portal that opens up into a 1976-era business, which seems not to freak anybody out. The people at this business also appear willing to help the monk at a moment’s notice, providing him with free copies. Better safe than sorry when it comes to dealing with monks that appear via magic time portals.
Fate: People still make copies; Xerox still makes copiers – so far, so good.
