The problem with these golf GPS devices is that most of them cost north of $300 in an era of smartphones with golf GPS apps that can be had for a song. There’s something to be said about simplicity, though – and battery life. The $350 Garmin Approach S3 GPS golf watch looks stylish enough to pass for a standard sports watch, yet it features nearly 30,000 preloaded courses, can be manipulated while wearing a golf glove and lets you manually move the current hole’s pin placement to get accurate approach distances. There’s a digital scorecard function and a built-in odometer, too.
